Ok... I'm not that much of a "Friendster"/"MySpace" kinda guy... I've even had this Multiply site for the longest time and never really had any interest on improving it...

Then, one day I discovered that a HUGE number of my Elim buddies had Multiply accounts... regularly updated ones at that! So, I decided to fix-up my Multiply site and join in on the fun.

My official website is still located at http://chuckiedreyfus.com but I guess I'll have two sites to update from now on. Hehehe...

May you find something interesting here in my Multiply site that'll make your stay worthwhile... if not, you can always try my other site. God bless!

New Song...!

I recently worked on a new composition... I wrote the lyrics and worked on the melody just a few hours earlier and am pretty happy with the outcome. Very simple song... slow, light and simple. I immediately went into the recording booth and laid-in a rough vocal track for it.

I praise and thank the Lord for the inspiration.

I sent a demo of the song to a few friends in community... particularly Mos, Barbie, Kiddo, Em and Jayp.

I get antsy and excited after completing a song... can't wait to hear their comments... :)
Post Game 3 Dinner with the team!

Jollibee Dinner after Game 3 of The League's Gold versus Green basketball match. Gold won 82-80 and took home the title of The League basketball champs...! Oh well, even though we lost the series, we still had tons of fun... and that's all that matters really!
Much thanks goes out to Sis Marivic and Bro Tony Acosta for the dinner treat for the entire green team!

Fireproof!

A few months ago, over at my personal blog, I posted my take on the inspirational film, "Facing the Giants"... a wonderful Christian movie that excites, inspires and tugs the heart... A motion picture that talks about real life situations and the types of things that our young people are going through. A film that makes you laugh... and makes you cry... it gets you excited not only about the sport of football, but about living for God and having your priorities right where they belong.

Almost all of my buddies in community recommended this motion picture to me as most of them, if not all, have been touched by it.

Last week, I've been emailed by Monique Sondag (Lovell-Fairchild Communications), a member of the PR team for Sherwood Pictures - creators of "Facing the Giants". Apparently, she chanced upon my review, thanked me for my support of the film on my blog and updated me on their upcoming movie, entitled, "FIREPROOF", which is due to hit theaters by September 2008....

Baguio Trip (Music Video) - May 9-11, 2008 (New)

We had a wonderful time during our trip to Baguio City together with a majority of our friends/dwellers from Elim Communities for the Baguio Pentecost Revival.

Here is a homemade music video I made of our trip... enjoy!

I uploaded the same video earlier but had a much bigger filesize so I deleted the old video and reposted a better version.

Note: Music Video of the actual Pentecost Revival event is still in the works. Will post very soon.

American Idol - "SHOUT TO THE LORD" (Reprise) during Results Night

Earlier I posted the Top 8's performance of "SHOUT TO THE LORD" on American Idol's, "Idol Gives Back" special... if you noticed, during the previous performance, they changed the first line of the song and replaced "Jesus" with "Shepherd"...
But during this reprise which was done the next day (Results Night), they used the original words and included the name, "Jesus".

Wonderful performance as ever! David Cook and Carly Smithson still rocked!

In one word... "Goosebumps"!

Salt

My wife recently had old friends over to the house to celebrate the birthday of an old classmate of theirs. Back in the day, they were a close knit band of rowdy friends hanging out not just in campus but around town as well... They'd go to bars, restaurants, regular hang-outs just to chit-chat the night away while drinking alcohol coupled with a handful (to put it mildly) of cigarettes on the side.

This was their old life. Mine didn't differ too much from theirs... sans the smoking and drinking of course. I never was the drinking type... nor was I hooked on nicotine and tobacco. But that doesn't mean my old life was more righteous in any sense... it was just as regretful.

Though I didn't participate in booze sessions within the confines of smoke filled bars and restaurants with friends, I did engage in conversations with them which promoted distasteful humor and gossip and reveled in others misfortunes just to name a few. Who hasn't at one time or another?...

Keys Me

A lot of people went crazy over Bulgarian Idol's version of "Ken Lee" which is so hot over at YouTube nowadays... but I realized that a lot of my friends didn't know that before there was Valentina Hasan of Bulgaria, there was Alyssa Alano of the Philippines already.
Hallelujah!

The Lord is risen!

What better way to celebrate it than to offer a new song/composition to Him. So that's exactly what I just did... I finished a new song which I decided to call, "Hallelujah". I know... I know... there are soooo many songs with the same title... whatever.

So far, the only guys I've sent previews to are Barbie, Kiddo and Mare (Kiddo was the one who actually sent it to Mare). I recorded a version with demo vocals just so they could get the feel of the song.

The song is written in Tagalog and was intended to sound a bit grungy-ish...

I think Kiddo described it as, "Pinoy Rock meets American Heartland"... hahaha... did I recall it right, Joe? :)
No... not Venereal... I meant Valentines! Hope everyone (who has a significant "other") had a wonderful and memorable time wherever you celebrated this love-filled day.

The missus and I just had a simple dinner together which was fun and we figured to cap the night with a stop at the nearest Krispy Kreme for a cup of coffee and some original glazed doughnuts. We had a few laughs and played around with the camera on our way back to the car...

Check out the pics...

Cloverfield

If you enjoyed "The Blair Witch Project", then this one definitely won't disappoint. The entire film's perspective comes from only one video camera (supposedly) carried by one of the movie's characters throughout the entire ordeal which happens all in one night.
A word of caution... those who are prone to motion sickness, stay away from this film... if you can't help but watch it, make sure you have a barf bag handy.
I personally enjoyed it... the editing was great and the plot, though being a monster (and sci-fi) flick, was simple...
And although the film featured a gigantic monster wreaking havoc all over Manhattan, it wasn't the main angle of the movie.
It was all about love and the power of the human spirit. In fact, you could only see the monster a few times and most of it were just partial shots...
Kudos to the producer and director for not making it look like just another Godzilla
