Earlier I posted the Top 8's performance of "SHOUT TO THE LORD" on American Idol's, "Idol Gives Back" special... if you noticed, during the previous performance, they changed the first line of the song and replaced "Jesus" with "Shepherd"...
But during this reprise which was done the next day (Results Night), they used the original words and included the name, "Jesus".

Wonderful performance as ever! David Cook and Carly Smithson still rocked!

In one word... "Goosebumps"!

Praise be to God.

not to burst any bubble but I admire the mainstream embracing Gospel song more so, worship songs but this is where we separate performers and worshipers. While no doubt that they could sing the song and exude a different feeling, there is a different sense of legitimacy when it is sung by the Church in worship.

True... it takes anointing to have that particular effect. Good you noticed. Just goes to show that you may be the greatest singer/performer ever but without the Lord's anointing it doesn't have the same impact.

Case in point... HILLSONG. Now there is a super doubly anointed worship team if I ever saw/heard one!
